Over the past several years, I have read and scored over 4,000 undergraduate applications for the UC schools and over 10,000 personal insight questions.

My hope is to use my knowledge and experience in admissions to continue to help students as they embark on their college exploration.

My first career after graduating from University of California, Santa Barbara, was in television news. I worked for several years as a news/promotions writer and then as a producer. After working in broadcast news, I changed directions and worked in retail management and then as an assistant buyer for a national retail firm.

I received a teaching credential from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga and then found my passion in education as a teacher in the Lafayette School District in Northern California. After taking time off from teaching and spending several years raising my daughters, I started volunteering helping students with the college admissions process at a low-resourced high school. My first position working in admissions was as an admission’s reader for The Nelson Mandela Washington Fellowship for African Leaders. I also had the honor of taking part with the recruitment with SHE-CAN which is an incredible organization which supports female leadership by providing college scholarships to academically talented, low-income women from Cambodia, Rwanda, Liberia and Guatemala who have few opportunities but incredible passion to create change.
