Your dream UC is within reach…
Applying to college is such an exciting time but it can also be stressful. Decisions made early can help strengthen a student’s college application.
I hope to share my insight and knowledge based on my years of working in admissions for various UC campuses to help students and parents make impactful decisions as they navigate their high school career.
For rising seniors applying to college, my goal is to guide students to present themselves in the best possible manner by highlighting their talents, interests and passions. For younger students, my goal is to help them strengthen their resume and set them up to be academically successful based on their strengths and interests.
There is no long-term commitment working with me as I work on an hourly basis.
“Maya truly was such an insightful and helpful person to navigate me through the UC application and I couldn’t be more thankful to have worked with her. She not only guided me through narrowing down what I truly was passionate about and wanted to display in my essays, but finding dynamic and specific details that showed how these passions demonstrated my personality. For example, I had a lot of really in-depth theater experience and Maya helped to illuminate in my essays how these experiences in theater taught me a lot about leadership and who I am as a person. This was very helpful because at first I wasn’t so sure how to do this and she truly pushed me to think deeply about how all of my extracurriculars have made an impact on me as a person…something really important to show in a college application! Maya also helped me form my activities list. I had a solid foundation, but Maya was great about helping me showcase my experience by making impactful suggestions such as adding extra stats/descriptive details that made my activities really stand out. When looking at my essays and activities list before vs after working with Maya, I truly see the depth and improvements she helped me make that I believe made all the difference in my application. I’m so excited to attend the University of California at Berkeley in the fall, and I seriously don’t think this would’ve been possible without Maya’s guidance! Go bears!!”
